Terms of Service
These terms are between you (and the business you use Mazbook for) and Hatch Labs Technologies, a business licensed in Dubai, UAE (Trader Licence No. 992837, Department of Economy and Tourism). Mazbook is a brand of Hatch Labs Technologies.
Last updated 2 November 2026. This version is awaiting legal review. The service
Mazbook helps businesses send invoices, follow up on payments, track cheques and expenses, and prepare for UAE e-invoicing. Features depend on your plan.
Your account
Keep your password safe and tell us at support@mazbook.app if you think someone else has used your account. The owner of a company decides who has access to it and what they can do, and is responsible for what they do there.
Free trial
New companies get a 14-day free trial with no card needed. When it ends, the company becomes read-only until you choose a plan.
Plans and payment
Prices are shown on the plan page in AED. We are not VAT registered at present, so no VAT is added. If that changes, the prices we display will include VAT, as UAE rules require. Yearly plans are billed once a year at a lower price than paying monthly.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled, and card payments are handled by Stripe. If a renewal fails we keep retrying for 7 days, and after that the company becomes read-only until payment is made.
Fees already paid are not refunded automatically. If something has gone wrong with a payment, email support@mazbook.app and we will look into it.
Cancelling and read-only accounts
You can cancel at any time. The plan keeps working until the end of the period you've paid for, and then the company becomes read-only.
While read-only you can still sign in, view your data and download it. How long we keep it afterwards is explained in the Privacy Policy.
Your data
Your business data stays yours. We use it only to provide the service, as explained in the Privacy Policy.
Your responsibilities
- The invoices you issue and the figures on them, and your VAT, Corporate Tax and other filings. Mazbook is software, not a tax adviser or accountant.
- Keeping your own tax records for as long as UAE law requires. You stay legally responsible for this, even though your records are in Mazbook. Download them regularly, and before you close an account.
- Having the right to contact your customers and honouring their requests to stop.
- Using the service lawfully: no spam, fraud, or attempts to break or misuse it.
E-invoicing
We aren't an Accredited Service Provider. E-invoices are sent through one, and you must have the registrations UAE rules require.
AI features
AI drafts and suggests, and you check and confirm. The exception is automations you turn on yourself, such as a reminder schedule. AI can make mistakes, so please review what it produces.
Availability
We work hard to keep the service running and your data safe, but like any online service it can sometimes be unavailable.
Suspending or closing an account
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts the service or other customers at risk, or is used unlawfully. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you first and give you the chance to put things right.
Limits of liability
The service is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses such as lost profit, lost business or unpaid invoices, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before it arose. Nothing here limits a liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Emirate of Dubai and the federal laws of the UAE. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any problem. A dispute we can't resolve goes to the courts of Dubai.
Changes and contact
We'll tell you about important changes to these terms before they apply. Questions: support@mazbook.app.
